Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) Annual Report Released
The Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) released its 2014 Annual Report today highlighting a strong customer satisfaction rating for the third year in a row.
“STC received a passenger satisfaction rating of 94 per cent, while parcel express customers showed their appreciation with a 92 per cent satisfaction score,” Minister responsible for STC Honourable Jennifer Campeau said. “2014 was a year with many challenges. These ratings highlight the value of STC bus passenger and freight services and the dedication of the staff towards ensuring our customers received the best services available.”
In 2014, STC completed the discontinuation of two under-utilized routes (Eastend-Swift Current/Mossbank and Regina-Lanigan). These adjustments began in 2013 in response to route discontinuations in neighboring provinces dating back to 2011.
“These changes continue to have an impact on the bottom line and ridership as fewer connection points are available in neighbouring jurisdictions for passengers and shippers,” STC President and CEO Shawn Grice said. “Tools such as the online e-Ticketing service and Park and Ride locations in Regina and Saskatoon have been implemented to enhance convenience of ridership.”
